Ways to Go
03.07.10I’m sure that a lot of people who own and operate their own site want to be or have at least thought about taking that step and being more professional. I have, each and every one of the 25 times I reopen this blog. This time I’m going to try a bit harder. Subscribing to different web design blogs has helped me tremendously over the past few days in getting this site together. I’ll admit that I still have a ways to go.
Being in school for web design doesn’t hurt either. The class I’m currently in, Fundamentals of Interactive Media (which is essentially short for Introduction to web design), hasn’t taught me much that I didn’t know, but next semester/quarter I feel like I’m going to be growing as a designer since I’ll be enrolled in two web design courses. One of which is a 6 hour class.
What I can’t seem to figure out though is Javascript. I think I’ll do some tutorials online and read/check out some books in my school’s library when I have time. I just don’t know where I would want to start, and the syntax seems very complex and not friendly… Eesh. I had better do something though because we’re going to be starting Flash soon and I wouldn’t want to start failing now, eh?
Comment Question: Do you know any Javascript? If so, what can you do?
My Medicine
03.05.10Well well well, look who’s back to the world wide blog-web? Yea I know I’ve made this introductory post a billion and one times, but I’m ever changing and I think that reflects well in my blogs and websites. I’m actually going to be staying this time though, not doing anything that everyone else is doing: Tutorials, Graphics, etc. I might end up doing reviews later on, but I’m not too sure with school and all down my back.
Sooner or later down the road, I’ll have my portfolio site up. It’s mainly for the projects I complete for school and maybe even some I work on on my personal time. I want it to be excellent and very professional so I’ll most likely ask my professor for help with it. I’m excited.
Another thing I’m really looking forward to is my online magazine which should be ‘hitting shelves’ sometime in March 2010. I have a few writers lined up to help me out, but I could always use more help. Let me know if you’re interested. You can drop me an e-mail or comment this blog. The main focus is music and the music industry, but if you have some ideas, I’ll be more than open for suggestions.
